Peter R Panos

Peter R. Panos, of Hingham passed away on April 4, 2018 at the age of 88.

Husband of the late Anna (Piperidou) Panos. Beloved brother of Mary Tutty of Weymouth and Helen Nina Fuda of Hingham. Caring Uncle of Gregory Tutty and his longtime friend Linda Cheevers of Weymouth and Deborah Panos of Hull.

Peter was the son of the late Romeo and Orear (Fitanides) Panos. He lived in Hingham for over 10 years and prior to that he lived in Hull for many years. Peter worked as a meat cutter for various supermarkets. He was an active member and volunteered at Panagia Church in Cohasset, and as a greeter at The VA in Jamaica Plain.

Peter served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.

Visiting hours will be held at The Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street Hingham, on Monday April 9, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at the Nativity Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 811 Jerusalem Road Cohasset, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, Philopochos Society, 811 Jerusalem Road Cohasset, MA 02025.
