Born in Cranston RI, Wilma didn't have to travel far, Cromwell CT, to be exact, to to meet the love of her life once he returned home from WWII as a POW. She and Arthur were married and lived briefly in Huntington, Long Island where their three children were born.

Wilma and Art became long-time residents of Hingham where Wilma dedicated a great deal of her life to the Hingham Congregational Church as a 25 year member of the choir, running their fairs, creating the guild and starting the consignment shop. All the while Art was building his life at Gillette through his eventual retirement. Wilma was an accomplished artist, her love for all her homes and Interior Design were just a small part of all of her volunteer talents she brought to this community.  She and Art established life-long friends in HIngham who all remained to be close and most moved in to Linden Ponds in their final years all to be together again. Wilma and Arthur established so much in the Linden Ponds community leaving her legacy with the Monthly Hymn Sings, weekly church services, and The Treasure Chest to help support Linden Ponds Benevolent Fund and so much more.

During retirement she and her husband created new friendships in Beverly Hills, Florida for 18 years only to repeat all their talents they offered achieving the same they founded up north.

Wilma was the beloved daughter of Andrew N. and Gerda (Hallstrom) Englebrook. She was the dear wife of the late Arthur E. Lorenson with whom she raised three outstanding children, Donald A. Lorenson of Scituate, Deborah S. Lorenson of Pembroke and Wendy Lorenson Wilson of Hingham. Also leaving behind eight accomplished grandchildren as well as three beautiful great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
