Warren Noble Obituary

Warren B. Noble, aged 93, of Hingham, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away on December 13th at South Shore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Portland, Maine in 1930, Warren was the second son of the late Adrian A. Noble and Ari (Barker) Noble, and the late Thelma (Merrill) Noble. He graduated from Deering High School in 1949 and subsequently enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He shared a remarkable 71-year marriage with his beloved wife, Dorothy A. (Carvalho) Noble. Warren was preceded in death by his late siblings, Arthur and Flora Noble of Maine, but leaves behind cherished siblings, Stephen and Marion Noble of California, Cynthia and Donald Travis of Texas, and brother-in-law to Rev. Alan and the late Ann Carvalho of North Carolina.

Warren's legacy extends to his loving children: Eric and Patricia Noble of Hiram, ME; Jeffrey Noble of Plymouth, NH; Brian and Sharon-Lee Noble of Norwell, MA; Kent and Kimberly Noble of Kennebunk, ME; Kimberly and John Hubbard of Parsonsfield, ME; Debra and Ray Clark of Weymouth, MA. Additionally, his home was open to numerous foster children and others he considered family, all of whom Warren and Dorothy raised together. His memory will be cherished by his twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of adoring nephews and nieces. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers who attended to Warren's needs over the years.

Warren and Dorothy embarked on a successful journey together, establishing Noble’s Camera Shops in 1956, and later retiring in 1994. He was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Norwell (Linden Ponds) and a member of the Old Colony Masonic Lodge in Hingham.

Throughout his life, Warren served on numerous boards and trade associations, leaving a lasting impact on his community. He was a dedicated member of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, the Hingham Merchants Association, Hingham Rotary, Cardinal Cushing Center in Hanover, and the Photo Marketing Association International. Additionally, he was an original stockholder and member of the Board of Directors of the Hingham Institution for Savings.

Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, January 21st, from 11 AM to 2 PM at Linden Ponds in Hingham, MA.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Cardinal Cushing Centers Opportunity Fund (https://cushingcenters.org/opportunity-fund/) in Warren's honor.

Warren B. Noble's life was one of purpose, love, and dedication, and he will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
