Obituary
Walter L. (Butch) Walling, of Rockland, passed away on February 23rd 2023 at the age of 85.
He was the beloved husband of Judith E. (Collins) Walling (married 61 years) and the loving father of Peg Richardson of Rockland. Grandfather of Christopher Richardson and his wife Kristina of Florida, Jennifer B. Richardson of Rockland, and Daniel J. Richardson of Boston. Great Grandfather of Riley Fula of Maine. Brother of Pauline Walling of Weymouth and Ronald Walling of Florida. Brother of the late George Walling, Richard Walling, Bertha Walling, Muriel Gottlich, Natalie Collins, Philip Walling, Irene Walling, and Ruth Foley. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog Edie Marie. He was the son of the late George and Bertha (Bates) Walling.
Born in Hingham and moved to Weymouth and lived in Rockland for many years. Served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years during Vietnam. He enjoyed woodworking and camping. He worked for many years at the Allen Pump Company as a Field Supervisor.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday March 2nd 2023, 1030-1130, followed by a funeral service. Family and friends are invited.
