Virginia Jarvis

Virginia K. Jarvis, of Hingham, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 after a brief illness at the age of 91. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, in 1926, she was the daughter of Michael and Stella Kostyna.

A loving mother and natural entertainer, Ginny had a passion for cooking, and playing bridge. She was an active member, and past President, of the Hingham Ladies Club where she developed great friendships and kept perpetually busy. She was blessed with good health enabling her fiercely self sufficient life style and joie de vivre. Ginny's understated elegance and incredible attention to detail, permeated everything she touched, making those she surrounded feel incredibly special. 

Ginny was predeceased by her loving brother, Robert C. Kristian. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Furman of Yarmouth, Leslie Kourlis of Northborough and Lauren Jarvis of Hingham. She is also survived by her nephews and many grandchildren.

At Ginny's request, a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham. Interment will be held privately.
