Thomas L. Libby, 80 of Hingham, Massachusetts died May 1, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family after a long illness. Born in Weymouth, MA in 1941 to the late Arthur and Kathleen (Condon) he was the loving husband of Mary L. (Griffin) for fifty-seven years and brother of Noreen Breivogel and her husband Walter of Abington. Father of Michael of Hingham, Richard and his wife Amy of Pittsford, NY, Kathleen and her husband Kenneth Amonte of Hingham and was Bumpa to Erin, Kenny, Josie, Ella and Ava. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Judith Griffin along with many nieces and nephews and his much-loved dog Seamus.
Tom spent his career working for the United States Post Office retiring as the Postmaster of Halifax, MA. After retirement he went to work at Glastonbury Abbey on the grounds crew. He was a lifelong resident of Hingham and was active in the community through Hingham Recreation, Hingham Youth Baseball and St. Vincent DePaul.
The family would like to thank the Norwell Visiting Nurses Association, especially his nurse Jenn Smith.
