Theodore W Anastos

Theodore William Anastos, formerly of Hingham and Norwell, passed away at the age of 83 at his home in Hull on October 3rd, next to the ocean, with his loving wife of 59 years by his side. 
 
Born October 5, 1939, “Big Ted” is survived by his wife Carolyn Pringle Anastos, son Ted Jr (wife Nicole) and daughter Meg (husband Greg) and his devoted grandchildren Sam, Chloe, Alexis, Thalia, George and Ariana, brother Richard and predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Smith Gallinaro.
 
Born to Christus and Dorothy (Goodwin) Anastos in Cohasset, MA, Ted made a career as a painting contractor with his family, C.G. Anastos & Sons. He attended Nichols College and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Okinawa as an Army Security Agent. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling and attending every horse show, hockey, football, lacrosse, basketball and skiing event for his children and grandchildren.  
 
We welcome all to honor his life during visiting hours, Thursday, October 12th, from 4pm-7pm at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham, MA. Burial will be private.
