Steven G Sullas

Steven G. Sullas, 60, of Weymouth, passed away at home on October 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Loving father of Joseph Sullas, Nicholas Sullas, and Michael Sullas all of Weymouth. Brother of Helene Sullas Huggins (Christopher), of Arlington; Laura Hickey (Steven), of Weymouth; Nancy Sullas, of Watertown; Joy Czochanski (Peter), of Watertown; Michael Sullas (Dori), of Discovery Bay, CA; and Elizabeth Padula (Paul), of Weymouth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Steven was the beloved son of the late George W. Sullas and Janet L. (Marland) Sullas.

Steven was born and raised in Weymouth. He was a standout basketball player at WHS and enjoyed the game his whole life. He had a great sense of humor and his funny speeches were a family favorite. He started in the restaurant business at the age of 14 and it became his vocation, working as a chef on the South Shore his entire career. His work ethic and pride in running his kitchen was apparent to all. He enjoyed watching the Celtics and Bruins, reading, and spending time with his family.

His greatest love and pride were his three sons. He was born to be their dad and all his life’s efforts were for them.

Visiting hours will be at Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel on November 15 from 4pm to 7pm with a memorial service starting at 6:30pm. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Weymouth Food Pantry and World Central Kitchen.
