Ryan James Lamonde

Ryan James Lamonde, 32, of Hingham, MA, passed away due to sepsis on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He leaves behind his parents, Norman and Margaret, brother Steven, sister-in-law Arian, nephew Rhys, sisters Bethany and Emma-Leigh, and many other family members and friends.

Born in Abington, Pennsylvania on April 9, 1992, Ryan spent his childhood years in Hingham, Massachusetts. From an early age, Ryan sought both adventure and solace in the great outdoors, rock climbing everywhere a rock could be found. He also loved playing the piano and guitar, soccer, chess, card games, and eating homemade food.

He received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, followed by two years of graduate work in Wilderness Therapy in Boulder, Colorado. Throughout his life, Ryan’s boundless sense of service brought him to countless communities as he traveled world-wide with various groups, including the Hingham Congregational Church, for mission work. Ryan also provided spiritual mentorship for members of Hingham’s North Street Community Church of the Nazarene, where Ryan held a leadership role among this community. At the North Street Community Church’s recovery center, The Anchor of Hull, he brought a presence of grace and intentionality through participating in and leading Bible studies and a prayer group. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at the Hingham Congregational Church, 378 Main Street, Hingham, MA, on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service at the same location from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
