Ruth G. (Gustafson) Couillard

Ruth G. (Gustafson) Couillard passed away on Monday October 4, 2021 with her family at her side at the age of 88. Wife of the late Donald C. Couillard, loving mother of Stephen Couillard of Hingham and Julie Paulsen and her husband Kevin of Hingham. Also survived by her sister-in-law Anna Couillard of Salem and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Elsie (Willard) Gustafson.

She was a life-long resident of Hingham, and worked for many years as a Psychiatric Nurse, retiring in 1997 as Director of Nursing at Quincy Mental Health Center. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Donald to places including Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, and Jordan. Ruth also was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and had a special love for animals.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 9, 2021 at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel 21 Pond Street Hingham Mass. at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Hingham Cemetery.
