Robert O'Day

Robert Cornelius O’Day, 79, of Hingham, MA, passed away on Wednesday September 17th, 2025.

Born in Staten Island, NY, to the late Cornelius and Margaret (O’Leary) O’Day. Graduated from Archbishop William High School and attended Brown university, U Mass Boston, and Suffolk University. Previously lived in Braintree and for the past 35 years was a resident of Hingham.

Robert was the assistant Principal of Hingham High School, then was the Principal of Plymouth South High School prior to retirement.

Survived by wife Susan (Brown) O’Day, stepson Gregory Carnrick, stepdaughter Kristin Giacalone, son Colin O’Day, and grandchildren Tyler, Victoria, and Dylan.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday September 21st, 2025, from 2-5pm at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel 21 Pond Street Hingham MA. A funeral service will be held on Monday September 22nd, 2025, at 10am at the Hingham Congregational Church 378 Main Street Hingham MA. Burial will follow at Hingham Cemetery.
