Robert Andrew Morton, of Rockland, MA. Passed away on Monday, November 30th, at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham after a brief illness.
He grew up in Hingham, graduating from Hingham High in 1970. He went on to manage several waterbed stores and enjoyed it up until his early retirement after hitting the lottery in 1989 which he enjoyed even more!
He loved to participate in sports. Among his favorites were skiing, sailing, basketball, tennis and softball. He had a great sense of humor and was the ultimate prankster. He was always looking for the best joke or story to tell.
Loved touring the country on his motorcycle and was a member of the Southeast MA Chapter 225 Motorcycle Club.
He had a generous nature and was dearly loved by his family and friends.
Bob was also actively involved in the South Shore Habitat for Humanity
He is survived by his loving family, sister Billee Louise Morton of Hingham, sister in law Janet Morton of Florida. Also survived by niece Krysten Carey of Scituate her husband Craig and their 2 sons Liam and Joshua. His niece Carrie Remington of Hingham her husband Eric. His nephew Ed Morton of Florida and his nephew Randall Morton of Vermont his wife Megan and their 2 sons Alec and Parker.
Funeral services are being held privately due to the pandemic.
A celebration of his life will be held next year.
