Obituary
Philip Alan Waite passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023, listening to his favorite music. Phil was the beloved and devoted husband of Carole (Niedbala) Waite and the brother of Janet Laivo of Hingham. Phil also leaves his brother-in-law William Bud Laivo, his cherished nephew Dennis Love and his wife Erin, as well as cousins and many friends. Phil is predeceased by his parents Charles and Marion Waite, his sister Barbara, and sister Diane.
Phil was an easy going, gentle, kind, generous, humble, funny, and loving man. He was a genuine person and a man of few words, but when spoken, they were always thoughtful and meaningful. This phrase might be thought of as over-used, but in Phil’s case, it was on the button; he was always the wind beneath our wings.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday May 25, 2023 at 10 A.M. at St. Paul's Church 147 North st Hingham. Following the Mass, Phil's family invites everyone to join them at Toscas restaurant 14 North st Hingham for a luncheon. Donations may be made in Phil’s memory to: The Wounded Warrior Project Jacksonville, FL, Tunnel to Towers Staten Island, NY, or Home Base Charlestown, MA.
