Peter G Stathopoulos

Peter George Stathopoulos (Pete the Greek) 4/25/41-02/20/2025 of Hingham MA passed away on February 20, 2025.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years Amber  (Mitchell) Stathopoulos, His daughter Deanna and her husband Scott Leblanc, Grandsons Scott Leblanc Jr and Alexander Mattingly and brother Deno Stathopoulos of Pittsburgh, PA.

Born in 1941 in Pittsburgh Pa to the late George Stathopoulos and Alexandra Stathopoulos.  He moved to Boston in his 20s, working at John Hancock where he met his wife, Amber.  The married in 1968 and moved to Hingham MA.  Peter spent most of his career at the Federal reserve Bank as a financial auditor. He was a member of the Hingham Rotary Club, and the Hingham Waste Disposal Committee. 

He was an avid Sports fan and held season tickets for over 50 years for the Patriots and was able to go to several Superbowl’s!!   

He was best buddies with his grandson Scott Jr. and loved spending time with him especially going out to lunches!!! He had a corny sense of humor and loved riddles. Every Christmas present would have a riddle you would need to guess what it was before opening it!   He was incredibly kindhearted and would do anything to help people and opened his home to anyone.  

He loved life and enjoyed it to its fullest.  He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother, bother in law, uncle and friend.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
