Peter Bishop Gomez

Peter Bishop Gomez of Hingham died on December 19, 2021 at the age of 68 after a long illness.

Pete leaves behind his beloved wife of 22 years, Judy (Ash).  He will also be missed by his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Elaine Gomez, his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Gomez, David Gomez, Ann Gomez Lawlor and her husband Ken Lawlor, and his extended family including aunts, uncle, cousins and good friends. 

Pete retired after 22 years at Xerox as a customer support engineer.  He also served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 40 years, retiring in 2017. 

Pete loved life, people, the outdoors and adventures.  He enjoyed many activities including camping, hiking, boating, fishing, skydiving, rock climbing, and white-water rafting.  He was a fun-loving, kind and caring person who enjoyed sharing experiences with others regardless of what they looked like or their abilities. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Pete's life on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Old Ship Church, 107 Main St, Hingham, MA at 11:00 AM.  All guests are required to be fully vaccinated and boosted.  All guests must wear masks.

Interment will be private, and Peter Gomez will be buried at High Street cemetery in Hingham.
