Patricia Myers Obituary

Patricia Ann Myers (Patty) passed away in her home on October 13, 2022.
Born on July 6, 1964 to Dorothy and Robert Myers, Jr. of Hingham, MA.  She spent her early years in Hull, MA before the family moved to Hingham. Here she spent the majority of her youth  with her siblings Robert Myers III, James  Myers, Susan Myers, Maureen Trifone, William Myers, John Myers and Kathleen McAlpine. She attended Hingham schools, participated in the Girl Scouts, and enjoyed going on trips with her family.  After graduating from high school, Patty became a dental hygienist for a time, before finding her true calling; nursing.

Patty’s choice of profession epitomized her desire to care for and help others.  Patty helped countless people over her career; people who could not do everything on  their own. She did this in her everyday life as well, always willing to help those around her however she could. Patty’s heart was full when she knew that she had impacted the lives of others.
Patty’s love of life is what stood out to all who knew her. Her passion for George Michael, Christmas Tree Shops, mystery books and playing board games were very real. However, they paled in comparison to her passion for her family and friends. Family meant everything to Patty. She loved her siblings and their spouses, her nieces and nephews, as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her loved ones.

Patty had an especially strong bond with her sister Susan.  The two of them had many adventures together and Patty went above and beyond to make sure Susan was enjoying life too.
Patty was never shy to let you know how much she loved you, either in words, or in deeds. Most phone calls, conversations, or texts ended with a “Love you!”  It was easy to tell that these were not just words to Patty.  She truly meant them, every time.

Nothing could keep Patty down for long.  She courageously fought Lymphoma over the last decade of her life. Throughout her battle, which included multiple stays in the hospital, and many treatments, Patty never lost her positive attitude and faced life with an infectious smile. People who went to visit her, or called her to cheer her up, usually found themselves cheered up by their talk with Patty!  If she got to laughing, then it was impossible to stay down, as you would have a hard time not joining in when you heard her.

Patty’s friends and family will miss her dearly.  However, they all have wonderful memories of Patty –  memories that will keep her light shining in their hearts for a long time to come.

We love you bunches!
