Patricia Jean (Richardson) Hicks

Patricia Jean Hicks, 84, of Hingham, Massachusetts died on September 13th at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a short illness.  

A resident of Hingham since 1970, Pat was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 13th, 1938.  She graduated from Ohio State University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.  She spent over forty years working with patients on the South Shore, and she retired from the Massachusetts Easter Seal Society.  An avid supporter of volunteer work, she participated in the Hospice program for many years.  A devout member of South Shore Baptist Church, she sang in the choir and enjoyed her weekly Bible study.  In retirement, Pat enjoyed painting with water colors.

Married to attorney Charles O. Hicks for 60 years, she is survived by son Roger and his wife Linda of Yonkers, NY, son Jason and his wife Jill of North Attleboro, MA, and daughter Diana and her husband Dr. Jose Leon of Northport, NY.  Patricia leaves behind six grandchildren whom she adored, Charles, Grace, Connor, Samuel, Timothy, and Benjamin.  The daughter of Silas Day Richardson and his wife Mary Richardson, Patricia leaves behind her brother Mac Richardson and his wife Beth of Charleston, RI, and she was the loving sister of the late Daniel Richardson and his wife Becki of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, September 22nd from 10am-11am at the South Shore Baptist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 11am.
