Lois OBrion Obituary

In loving memory of Lois A. OBrion, a shining light whose love for life and compassion for others illuminated the lives of all who knew her. Lois peacefully departed from this world on March 18, 2024 at 79 years young, surrounded by the love of her devoted family.

Lois was born, Lois Marie Antaramian in Quincy, MA, on November 6, 1944. She grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School in 1963. Lois later married James S. OBrion, she moved to Cape Cod where she lived in West Barnstable and South Yarmouth. She is survived by her children Deborah McGilvray and Sean OBrion, as well as her siblings Paula Sutherland, Maribeth Antrim and Jack Antrim and her grandchildren J. Tyler Lynch, Sean OBrion Jr., Emily OBrion, and Liam OBrion.

She lived life with a spirit of adventure and curiosity, finding joy in the simple pleasures of the ocean, spending time with friends and loved ones, while also expressing her creativity through various forms of art. Whether Lois was walking on the beach, enjoying the peacefulness of nature, bowling with friends, shopping at a local farmer’s market or immersing herself in a new creative project, she approached each experience with a sense of wonder and gratitude.

One of her greatest passions lay in serving others. With compassion as her compass, she dedicated many years to the field of mental health, with Fellowship Health Recourses offering support, understanding, and healing to those in need. Her tireless efforts and selfless acts of kindness touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

Lois was a devoted mother, Nana, sister, cousin, aunt and friend, her love knew no bounds. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and enduring love that will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind.

In honor of Lois's compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute https://danafarber.jimmyfund.org/site/Donation2;jsessionid=00000000.app20013a?idb=2114051566&df_id=2100&mfc_pref=T&2100.donation=form1&NONCE_TOKEN=9D6AE3FFD3624910EDF7731AB9AA9499&s_subsrc=AGDFH110123&s_src=AGDFH110123&utm_campaign=AGDFH110123&utm_source=dfh&2100_donation=form1&utm_medium=button
