Karen (Lundin) Lawn

Karen Louise (Lundin) Lawn, 76, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, passed away on October 4, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born on March 30, 1947, in Quincy, Massachusetts, to the late Eric and Frances (Turner) Lundin. Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve, and her brothers, David and Roy.

Karen was a loving and devoted mother to her children. She is survived by her daughter Erika Steen, her husband Brian of Plymouth, and their daughters Alyssa and Erynne. She is also survived by her daughter Michelle Lawn of Rockland, her son Michael Lawn, his wife Jillian of Hanson, and their children Sabrina and Brady. Additionally, she is survived by her son James Lawn of Rockland and his daughters Marissa and Norah. Sister-in-law's Denise Lundin of Hingham and Ann Waluk of Pittsfield, Maine. Karen leaves behind a large and loving family who will miss her dearly.

Karen attended Hingham High School, class of 1965, and went on to have a successful career as a manager at K-mart, working in the cash office. After retiring, she dedicated her time to being a full-time grandma, which brought her immense joy.

In her free time, Karen had a wide range of hobbies and interests. She was an avid football fan and loved spending time in the sun with a delightful book. Karen cherished moments with her family and had a sweet tooth for indulging in treats. She enjoyed listening to Josh Groban's music and had a fondness for Maine. Karen delighted in watching hummingbirds and had a knack for finding the best shopping deals. She was known for taking "shortcuts" while driving, always eager to find a more efficient route.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 13th, from 4-7pm at Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, located at 21 Pond Street, Hingham, MA, 02043.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Karen's memory to the American Lung Association.
