Janet C (Green) Magee

Janet C Magee, 87, of Weymouth, MA, passed away on February 6th after a brief illness.

Janet was born on August 8th, 1936, to John and Constance Green in Boston, MA.

She was married to the late Chester Magee. Janet helped her husband in his small engines repair shop business with bookkeeping. She is the sister of John Francis Green of Weymouth and a loving mother of late Barrie Winthrop Magee.

She attended Glad Tidings Church in Quincy, and she was a member at Crossroads Worship Center in Weymouth, MA. She loved and trusted God. Her favorite slogan is, “God will make a way where there seems to be no way.”  She had the love and support of many friends from the church. She will be dearly missed by her long-time family friends, Nancy and Robert Jagaselvan and their children Daniel, Emona, and Carmelle, for whom Janet was like a grandmother.

Janet is survived by her brother John Francis Green and her grandchildren Barrie Winthrop Jr, Jennifer Ann, Dawn Elizabeth, and Russell Eric.

Visiting hours will be held at Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St, Hingam on Tuesday February 13th, 2024, from 5pm-6pm followed by a funeral service at 6pm.
