Francis Burton McNamara

Francis Burton McNamara, 89, of Quincy, passed away on August 19th, 2024, in Melbourne FL.

Born October 24th, 1934, in Quincy, MA, to the late Joseph McNamara and the late Grace (Keane) McNamara. Graduate of North Quincy High School and was owned numerous automotive repair shops. Member of the ELKS lodge and the National Rifle Association. He loved racing cars, piloting boats, flying airplanes, feeding seagulls, and traveling the world. 

Brother of the late Mary Jenkins and the late Patricia Maibach. Survived by his three sons: Michael McNamara of Los Angeles, CA, Brian McNamara of Dublin, NH, and Daniel McNamara of Marina del Ray, CA.

Visiting hours will take place Friday September 6th, 2024, from 10am-12pm at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel 21 Pond Street Hingham, MA, 02043. Burial follow at Mt Wollaston Cemetery 20 Sea Street Quincy, MA, 02169, at 1pm.
