Allison Ordway Obituary

Allison Reynolds Ordway 9/5/1964 – 9/10/ 2021

“You have to accept whatever comes, and the only important thing is you meet it with the best you have to give.”-Unknown.  These are words Allison Reynolds Ordway lived by every day of her life.  Allison Ordway, 57, of Quincy, MA had a zest for life that was unmatched and contagious to those around her. Allie loved spending her days by the ocean, singing her favorite songs, watching her beloved Denver Broncos and shopping…for anything.  Her bright smile and booming laughter filled any room she entered, and she never met a stranger.  To meet Allie was to love her, she didn’t have friends, she had family.  Allison was surrounded by her work family at Granite Telecommunications for the past 8 years where she built cherished relationships.

Allie left us on September 10, 2021 after an 8 year battle with cancer. She leaves behind her wife, the love of her life, Jill Gillette.  Her father David Ordway, stepmother Jan Ordway, her mother Corinne Riolo Ordway, her sister and brother-in-law Lindsey and John Fairbairn and their children Tyler and Georgia, her Aunts Edwina Riolo and Joan. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Patricia Zornes.  Allie also leaves behind her children Jennifer Gillette, Amy and Brandon Nathlich, Alan Gillette and her grandchildren, Hayden Gillette, Breckin Nathlich and Braxton Nathlich.  Allie also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

Allie had a fierce love for her family (especially her kids including Tyler and Georgie) and we feel a fierce love for her.  Her joy taught us to embrace life and her heart taught us to love unconditionally.  Her physical absence is felt all around, but her undying spirit and love is overwhelmingly present.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends. Please contact Allie’s family for details. Cards and flowers may be sent directly to Allie’s family or via the Downing Funeral Chapel in Hingham, MA.
