My condolences to Phillip and the rest of the family. I got to know Solace when I was a caretaker of her mother Helen Walker Day, before she died. Solace was very wonderful, compassionate and loving. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Dear Robert and family.
My deepest sympathy on your loss. Solace and I met in rehab at Linden Ponds and she was such an inspiration to me. She was always positive, had kind words and never complained about her illness. A very strong, intelligent woman. Dinners with her and family after candlelight services at New North were a delight. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Dear Phil, Elizabeth and Robert,
Paul joins me in sending our sincere sympathy to you. Remembering how we met brings us back to 1970 when Sara Corbett and Elizabeth Tobey were crib mates at Children’s hospital in Boston. They had both had tonsillectomies and were recovering. Solace immediately engaged in conversation and an agreement that we would get the girls together after they were healed. We did that for many years and with Robert and our son Matthew as well. Solace was instrumental in our finding a house in Cohasset and was to many the instrument in welcoming others. We keep you in our thoughts as you endure the coming weeks. Fondly, Eileen and Paul Corbett

Dear Elizabeth and Robert,

Solace was always a joy to be with! Having tea and discussing books with her and Joy was always a delight! While Solace went through her hard days visiting her and seeing her kind spirit and positive nature was always amazing. Solace would always think of others first! She always asked about my mother and we lost our beloved mother two months ago! I know how much you will miss her quiet presence in your midst! Solace is now free of any pain and I wish her abiding peace! Love to all the family, Nancy

Dear Phil, Elizabeth and Robert, You are in our hearts as we bid farewell to Solace, who was such a beacon of light in Hingham. What courage and grace she brought to all who met her during her illness. I think of her quiet generosity to those in need, of her beautiful lyric soprano voice, of her beautifully crafted obituaries in the Ledger, and of her fierce advocacy for Town issues....and of years of friendship. She is surely a welcome new addition to the choir of angels. May you be sustained by memories of the happy healthy years, and her love for each of you.
