Peter J Platt

Peter J. Platt, 67, of Hingham and Sunapee N.H., died on Sept 27th amid his family.  He was born in Fall River to Lorraine (Paquette) and Howard Platt.

Peter’s life was centered around his family. He loved and was much loved by his children Kerri and Brian Laneau and their children Jasper and Carly, Patrick and Erin Preston and their children Eddie and Elyse, Michael and Jesse Platt and their son Benny, Tom Preston and Eliza Holtzman and their son Max, and his wife Sean (Otis) Platt. He will be missed by his siblings Joyce and Jerry Marks, Nancy Reed, Bill and Joanne Platt and Anne and Frank Masters. 

Peter played basketball at Weymouth High and graduated from Florida Southern College on a basketball scholarship. He owned Fowler Insurance in Jackson Square for 35 years. He had a wonderful time cruising on his boat “Sooner” from the South Shore Yacht Club.  He rode his Harley with the great guys at the OFR motorcycle group.

Per his precise and oft repeated wishes there will be no formal ceremony.  His family will honor him always by caring for each other.
