Nina C (Civiletti) Kramers

Nina C. (Civiletti) Kramers, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the age of 95.

Beloved wife of the late Peter B. Kramers. Loving mother of Peter D. Kramers and his wife Carol Anne of Hanover, Julianna and her husband C. Vernon Neighbors of VA., and Nina Jan and her husband David Pape of MO. Cherished grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Benedetta Swayze.

Nina was born in New York City, daughter of the late Harry and Julia (Koenig) Civiletti and spent her summers in Peekskill, N.Y., where her parents were friends of the Kramers.  Nina attended Private School in Scarsdale, N.Y. and then went on to Secretarial School.    In her later teens, Nina was re-introduced to Peter and they corresponded during  World War (II)  

Peter and Nina married in New Orleans in 1944 and started their family in Hingham, MA.     Nina rode horses, loved to dance, played bridge and was a member of the Hingham Yacht Club.   She was an avid gardener, seamstress and member of the Hingham Congregational Church.

She remained in Hingham until 1978, when she and her husband Peter retired and moved to Venice, Florida .  There she learned to play and love golf. 

Married for fifty-six years, Nina then returned to New England in 2001, spending her remaining years, visiting and enjoying her family .

Nina passed away peacefully at Sunrise in Cohasset, where she spent the last ten years of her life, having been diagnosed with Alzheimers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Peter, grandson Benjamin Neighbors and sister  Benedetta Swayze.

Arrangements are under the care of Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel in Hingham. All Services will be private.
