Michael Donahue, of Hingham, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the age of 76 after a brief illness.

 

Beloved husband of Mary (Hunter) Donahue. Loving father to Michelle Magner and her husband John of Hingham, and Kelly Donahue of Hingham. Cherished grandfather to Jack, Michael, Brian, Sarah, and Hunter. He is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Cammarata of Newton, and Joan Ford of Georgia. Brother of the late Jean Deluca, Mary Rose Donahue, Barbara Donahue, Patricia Donahue, Joseph Donahue, and William Donahue. Brother in law of Robert Hunter, Anne Sitz, and the late David Hunter.

 

Mr. Donahue proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He graduated from National School of Banking at Fairfield University, class of 1981. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church in Hingham for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his wife in Naples, Florida. Michael was a wonderful man who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Visiting hours will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street Hingham on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul's Church, 147 North Street Hingham, at 11:30 a.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Hingham.

 

Charitable donations in Michael's memory may be made to St. Paul's School, 147 North Street Hingham, MA 02043.
