Margaret “Peggy” Hill Coburn, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019. She was the beloved wife of Edward “Ted” Coburn. She is survived by her son’s Steve Cluff and his wife Kim of Helena Island, SC and Chris Cluff and his wife Gail of Hamilton, MT, along with their two children, Kate of Sitka, AK and Charlie of San Jose, CA. Candace (Coburn) Brehm and her husband Stan of Chichester, NH and their two children, Ally and her husband Josh Piper and Josh and his wife Sam. Kimberley (Coburn) Page and her husband Russell of Lunenburg, MA, Rebecca Coburn Bassi and her husband Ben of Newburyport, MA, her daughter Jessyca and her husband Nicholas Gottwald and Amy (Coburn) Gaudet and her husband Ken of Upton, MA and their three children, Lane, Teddy and KC. She is also survived by her much loved great-grandchildren; Summer Brehm, Cameron and Isobel Piper, and Oliver Edward Gottwald.
Peggy graduated Weston High School before heading off to Oberlin College. After years working at Dupont and travelling all over the country, she married Edward Cluff in 1956, residing in Wilmington, DE. In 1982 she married Ted and moved back to Weston into his home. After Teds retirement, they relocated to West Falmouth where they enjoyed, travelling the world, sailing, golfing and socializing with their many friends.
In 2010 they moved to Linden Ponds in Hingham. Peggy enjoyed life and took full advantage of making the most of it. She particularly loved skiing, golfing, gardening, knitting, bird watching/care and reading. She was also a master at games and puzzles, especially Bridge. A celebration of her wonderful life will be held at a later date.
