Karen M. (Derbyshire) Pelrin, of Hingham, passed away unexpectedly while battling cancer at the age of 63.
Beloved wife to Thomas Pelrin of Hingham. Loving mother to Sarah Pelrin of Cambridge. She is survived by her sister Kristina Parmlind of Sweden and sister in law to Barbara and Dick McGowan of Leominster, Jim and Kim Pelrin of Taunton, and Jack and Bonnie Pelrin of Carver. Karen is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Myrle F. Derbyshire Sr. and Mary Derbyshire of Hingham.
Prior to her retirement, she was a long time employee of the Rockland Public Schools.
Visiting hours will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street Hingham, on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
