Joyce Vera

Joyce Vera, of Brockton, formerly of Hingham, died September 25, 2018 at the age of 73.

She was the daughter of the late Christine Robbins Spring and Lewis Spring of Hingham. She leaves behind a brother, Kenneth E. Spring of Sanford, Maine. She was also the sister of the late Ernest L. Spring, Howard E. Spring and Audrey L. Girard. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, whose needs she always put before her own. She leaves behind her partner, James M. Gallagher of Brockton, her son, James L. Vera and his partner, Karen M. Gordon of Whitman, her daughter, Debbie V. Neal and her husband, Michael D. Neal of Leicester, North Carolina. She was the proud grandmother of David, Michael, Jr., Brandon and Ashley Neal and great grandmother to Kaylee and Waylon Neal, all of North Carolina. She is also survived by cherished nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are Sunday, September 30th, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.

There will be a private burial at a later date.
