Marie,
Sylvia passed along your letter and news of Jasper's entrance into the presence of his Savior - so very sad for this loss (albeit temporary) for you and your family. Please know of our remembrance of you and Jasper so very fondly and our current prayers for you that God will, as he promised, be your defender in these days, be your peace, be the presence of love and comfort to you as you mourn.

Marie, I was so sorry to learn today of Jasper's passing to Glory. He is with Jesus now whom he loved and served so faithfully over so many years. I remember so vividly the times that others and I joined him as we built small churches in Honduras. What a thrill and a blessing that was as we all honored the Lord together. I know that you will feel the loss deeply so may the Lord comfort your heart and bless you in a special way during this difficult time. May the fact that you were a good and loving wife also help to ease the pain of loss.
In Jesus' love.

Aunt Marie and family,
We send our deepest sympathy at the loss of your husband and father, uncle Jasper. He was a truly great man, and has left a void in this world no one can fill. His deep an abiding faith was a witness to all of God's love and mercy.
