Welcome to the memorial page for

Ivan P Greenfield

July 20, 1994 ~ November 25, 2017 (age 23) 23 Years Old

Ivan P. Greenfield of Delray Beach, FL and Cohasset, MA died on November 25, 2017 at the age of 23.

Ivan was born in Russia and came to this country at the age of four. He grew up in Pembroke MA, the beloved son of Nancy Troland and David Greenfield. He is survived by his parents, his brothers and their wives: Vladimir and Sarah of Phoenix, and Andrei and Stephanie, currently serving in the U.S. Marines. He is also survived by his grandmother Natalie Arnold of Plantation FL, and his Russian siblings Pasha and Lyudmila.

Ivan loved animals, and spoke their language. His pets included dogs, cats, tropical fish, snakes, lizards, spiders, and many more. He would take in friend's pets when they could no longer care for them. From an early age, he watched animal shows on TV and remembered everything.

He loved the outdoors and spent quiet time kayaking on Silver Lake, usually with his fishing rod. He enjoyed playing soccer, baseball, football, and especially lacrosse. Ivan was an avid body builder and certified as a personal trainer. He enjoyed his work as a trainer and helping people achieve their goals.

Ivan had a creative imagination and a great sense of humor. In his younger days, he liked to build things and write stories. He was a big-picture thinker and wise beyond his years.

At his core, Ivan cared deeply for others and would do anything for anyone, anytime. Friends in Florida said he was loved by everyone – that he changed their lives.

Ivan, we will forever miss you.

A service to honor Ivan's life will be held on Saturday December 9th at 1:00 pm at the Second Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 685 Main St. in Hingham, MA.

Please share your thoughts in the Guest Book and feel free to add a special photo.
