Fred W Hermanson Jr.

 Hermanson Fred W. Jr. Formerly of Hingham, passed away November 15, 2019 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Pauline M. (Goedecke) Hermanson. Also survived by his loving companion Betty Kohl of Haverhill. Beloved father of Christy Bacon and her companion William Spencer of Davenport Florida, Fred W. Hermanson, III and his wife Maria of Westfield, Amy F. Rabinovitz and her husband Steven of Abington, Caroline L. Haley and her companion Scott Boyd of Weymouth, and Robert J. Hermanson of Maine. Brother of Robert Hermanson of Weymouth, Louis Hermanson of Florida, Marie Gonsalves of Florida and the late Louise Callahan. Fred will also be remembered lovingly by his 14 grandchildren; Charles Bacon Jr., Christina, Kayla and Courtney Hermanson, Benjamin, Laura, Abigail and Molly Rabinovitz, Ashley Buccheri, Kelsey, Haley, Robert, Joshua and Shawn Hermanson and also his 7 great-grandchildren, Brodie Shaw, James Roundtree and Charlotte Shaw, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Fred was born in Quincy, son of the late Fred W. Hermanson Sr. and Edmea (Quintiliani). He was raised in Quincy and later moved to Hingham but for the last 10 Years lived in Haverhill. He worked for many years at Eastern Engineering Manufacturers Company.
Fred was a proud retired member of the US Army National Guard, with 31 years of service.
Fred was an avid sports fan both the Red Sox and Patriots were his favorites.
A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham. Visiting Hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. Relatives and friends invited.
