Frank J. Macri, of Marshfield, formerly of Hingham, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the age of 86.
He is survived by his former wife and friend Susan Macri and his daughters Deb Macri, and Melissa Macri, all of Hingham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Joseph and Teresa Macri. He is predeceased by his brothers John Macri, William Macri, and sister Lydia Gorman.
Frank was born and raised in Hingham where he graduated from Hingham High School. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy as a yeoman aboard ship for 4 years during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Hood Milk Company for almost 20 years. Frank was also a manager for Curtis Farms Supermarket in Quincy and also worked as a independent landscaper. In his youth, Frank was a talented trumpet player and sustained a lifelong love of music. He also enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, playing poker, cooking, his Dunkin Donuts, and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
In closing we pray “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”.
