Florence (Rudderham) Ward

Florence (Rudderham) Ward, of Hingham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the age of 82.

Beloved wife of Francis Ward Jr. for 56 years. Loving mother of Francis Ward III and his wife Kathy of Hingham, Timothy Ward and his fiancé Cheryl Garvin of Rockland, Christopher Ward and his wife Meg of Hingham, Julie Palma and her husband Dave of Hull, and Peter Ward and his wife Kerry of Hingham. Cherished grandmother to 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Sister of Maggie Warshaw of Hull. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Florence was born and raised in Hingham where she graduated from Hingham High School, class of 1953. She was well known for her passion of cooking and catering events for friends. She was a longtime member of the South Shore Baptist Church in Hingham. Florence was a wonderful, caring woman who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street Hingham, on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held privately.
