Dorothy F (Kenefick) Kershaw

Dorothy Frances (Kenefick) Kershaw, of Hingham, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of the late Harry Kershaw. Loving mother to Carol Brickley and her husband William of Norwell, H. Thomas Kershaw of Hingham, Kathleen Murphy and her husband Robert of Whitman, and Donna Mendall of Quincy. Cherished grandmother to Jacquelyn Murphy, Amanda Murphy, Katelyn Lagrotteria, Peter Kershaw, Alan Kershaw, Christopher Brickley, Melissa Gruner, and her great grandson James Lagrotteria. Sister of Robert Kenefick of Webster, Betty Nolan of New Mexico, and the late Walter and John Kenefick.

Mrs. Kershaw was born in Boston and graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls. She worked at Talbots in Hingham for many years in the accounting department. She enjoyed volunteering at the Hingham Senior Center and Hingham Cable Company. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, and trips to Foxwoods. Dorothy was a wonderful woman who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 am. A funeral mass will be held immediately following the visitation at Saint Paul’s Church, 147 North Street, Hingham at 12:00 p.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held at Saint Paul’s Cemetery in Hingham.
