Carol A. (Cain) Cahill, of Braintree, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 after a long illness at the age of 74.
Wife of the late Jeremiah F. Cahill Sr. Beloved Mother of Jeremiah F. Cahill Jr. and his wife Elsa of Manchester N.H., and Tracey A. Null and her husband William of Brockton. Grandmother of Maggie M. Null and William R. Null of Brockton and Michael Choy of Derry N.H. Great Grandmother of James R. Blandin. Sister of Harold “Butch” Cain and his wife Margaret “Sandy” of Avon, Patricia Files of Abington, and James Cain of Hampton N.H. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Carol was born in Milton, the daughter of the late Harold F. and Beatrice (Irving) Cain and lived for many years in Braintree and was formerly from Quincy. She worked for New England Telephone, Milton’s Clothing Store in Braintree and also at Stop and Shop in Quincy. She loved the beach and time spent with family especially spending holidays together.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street Hingham, on Thursday, May 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral service will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Carol's family wishes to invite any one who wishes to a luncheon reception in her honor at Smith's Restaurant 220 South Franklin Street, Holbrook Mass. at 1 P.M. on Friday after the burial.
