Anne E. Blanchard of Hingham passed on December 9, 2019 from complications of a heart attack. Born to parents Francis & Ann Shea and raised in Dorchester, Anne was a true Boston girl. She was a graduate of the Gate of Heaven High School in Boston in 1967. Anne moved to Hingham in 1974 and settled in nicely to spend the remainder of her life.
Anne married Neal Blanchard on October 18, 1997 and was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived not only by Neal but her sons: James R. Amirault, Christopher J. Amirault and William J. Amirault, her sister Marion Shea, Claire Blanchard her mother-in-law, William Shea her uncle, and her beloved grandchildren Mathew, Kaileen, Fayth, Ryan, Jasmyn and Shay.
Anne was a very creative soul and loved spending her free time wrapped in arts and crafts. When unable to be in her spare time world, she was a baker at Stop & Shop for 22 years. Anne donated handsomely in numerous ways to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and ASPCA - Prevention of Animal Cruelty and several other charities through the years.
A wake will be held Sunday, December 15th at Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham from 3:30-6:30PM.
A Funeral Mass will follow in Monday, December 16th at St. Paul’s Church, 147 North St., Hingham at 10AM with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
