Michael Robert Devitt

Michael R. Devitt, of Hingham, formerly of Hull, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the age of 76.

Beloved husband of Carol (Aloise) Devitt. Loving father to Fran Troy and her husband Joe of Hull, Mike Devitt and his wife Michelle of Ivyland, PA, and Paul Devitt and his wife Suzanne of Marshfield. Cherished grandfather to Lauren, Maggie, Sean, Colleen, Justin, Doug, Dominic, and Christopher. Brother of Richard Devitt and his wife Linda of Marshfield, the late Paul Devitt, and the late Veronica Small. Brother in law of Frannie Maccarrone of Florida. Son of the late Elizabeth (Coleman) Devitt. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a world of friends.

Mr. Devitt graduated from Hull High School and worked as a Management Consultant for thirty years before his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the L Street Football Association and enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, 208 Samoset Avenue Hull on Friday August 25, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m.
