Mary Kathleen (Crow) Belmore

Mary Kathleen (Crow) Belmore, of Hingham, passed away peacefully at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the age of 101.

Beloved wife of the late Hector J. Belmore. Loving mother to Elizabeth A. Sahakian of Watertown and Richard Belmore and his fiancé Robin Elizabeth Crowley of Hingham. Cherished grandmother to Jessica Sahakian of Watertown, Alan Belmore and his wife Kristin of Hingham, Christin (Belmore) Alcarez and her husband Joseph of Duxbury and her great grandson Joseph Alcarez Jr.

Mrs. Belmore was born in Dover, Tennessee where she graduated from the University of Tennessee earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Upon her graduation at the age of 22, Ms. Crow boarded a train to Cambridge MA where she had accepted a job with the Leaver Brothers Corporation and she worked in their recipe development and innovation department. When she and her husband decided they wanted to raise a family, she transitioned and taught home economics. She taught Home Economics at Dedham Junior High School for 14 years before moving to East Dennis upon her retirement where she and her husband enjoyed many happy years.

A memorial service will be held at Allin Congregational Church, 683 High Street Dedham, MA on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A private interment will be held at Hingham Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Queen Anne Nursing Home, 50 Recreation Park Drive Hingham, MA 02043.
