Marcia (Jones) Lauretto

Marcia (Jones) Lauretto, of Rockland, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 after a life long illness at the age of 73.

Beloved wife of Paul M. Lauretto. Loving sister of Marilyn Eno of Buffalo NY, Patricia Cheney of Brockton, Bette Duhamel of E. Bridgewater, Edgar Jones of Mesa Arizona, and the late Robert and Thomas Jones. Sister in law to Pauline Lauretto of Quincy. Marcia is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marcia was born the daughter of the late William and Mildred Jones, she spent her younger years in Indiana where she graduated high school. Her work then took her to New York City. Upon returning to Massachusetts, she attended Bridgewater State College where she earned her degree in childhood education.

Besides her family, Marcias devotion to children was manifested by the time she spent with her many nieces and nephews and her hours devoted to The Church of Latter Day Saints. Marcia was a wonderful woman who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be held at The Church of Latter Day Saint, 379 Gardner Street in Hingham on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Latter Day Saints on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. with an hour of visitation prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Spring Lake Cemetery in Rockland.
