Gerard F Linscott

Gerard F. Linscott, of Hingham, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the age of 75.

Beloved husband of the late Roberta C. (Locke) Linscott. Loving father to Timothy R. Linscott and his wife Katherine of Pembroke, and Kimberly L. Muzzi and her husband Mark of Lunenburg. Cherished grandfather to Caroline, Deanna, Allison, Hannah, Joshua, and Heather. Known as "Uncle Jerry" to many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Linscott proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired as a Captain for the Hingham Fire Department in 1997 after 33 years of his faithful service to the town of Hingham. He also worked as an Assistant Harbor Master and ran the boat yard for Bouve Yacht Service. He was a member of the Hingham Yacht Club and the North American Family Campers Association.

Mr. Linscott enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Gerard was a wonderful man who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Visiting hours will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street Hingham, on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Funeral Service will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held immediately following the funeral service at High Street Cemetery in Hingham.
