Barbara J (Anderson) Watts

Barbara J. (Anderson) Watts, of Norwell, formerly of Hingham, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the age of 86.

Wife of the late Allan Morrison and Marvin Watts. Loving mother to Linda Nixon and her husband John of Hingham and Glenn Morrison and his wife Cathy of Mashpee. Cherished grandmother to Christina Condito of Carver, Amanda (Conditio) Hiles of Rochester, Rebecca Hernandez of Rhode Island, Caralie Morrison of Mashpee, and Elaina Morrison of Mashpee. She is also survived by her five great grandchildren. Sister of the late Nancy Anderson and Bruce Anderson. Daughter of the late Annette and Frederick Anderson.

Barbara was born in Haverhill where she graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1948. She received her R.N. degree from Peter Bent Brigham Hospital school of Nursing in 1952 and her Bachelor of Science degree from Emmanuel College in 1978.

She worked at the Brigham, New England Deaconess, Boston City, Quincy City and South Shore Hospital. Barbara was the Director of Nursing Services at Deering Nursing Home and Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham. She volunteered at Hospice of the South Shore, Hingham Food Pantry and Friends of the South Shore.

Barbara lived in Hingham since 1959 and was a member of the Hingham Congregational Church. She was also a Past Worthy Advisor, Haverhill Chapter of the Rainbow for Girls. Barbara was a wonderful woman who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
